Yoti Privacy Policy

Yoti uses the highest level of encryption, maximising the security of your data, and deletes all documents after validation. 

During the age verification process, we do not receive any of the documents you upload or any of the data held in your Yoti app, we only receive a final confirmation that you are age verified.

How to age verify with Yoti

Once you log in the MA for the first time, you will be redirected to an age verification landing page:

Yoti is one of the providers in the "Already Verified?" section, alongside VerifyMy, where available. Click the Yoti button and your browser will redirect you to Yoti's age verification page. 

From here, you will have two options:

• Verify with your Yoti Digital ID

If you already have the Yoti app with a verified identity, you can use it to confirm your age in a few seconds. Yoti only accepts an existing age verification from your app. An age estimate is not enough.

• Verify with an ID document

If you don't have the Yoti app, you can verify by scanning a government issued ID document and taking a selfie, so Yoti can match your face to the document. 

Whichever option you choose:

• If you are 18 years old or older, Yoti will confirm your age and you will be redirected back to the Members Area, where you can continue to browse as normal.
• If you are under 18 years old, or the verification does not succeed, you will be logged out and redirected to the login page. You will be asked to verify your age again the next time you log in.

Verifying your age with the Yoti app (Digital ID)

On the Yoti page, choose the "Yoti ID app" option.

Open the Yoti app on your phone and scan the QR code shown on screen. On mobile, the Yoti app opens directly.

Approve the age share request in the app.

Once the check is complete, you should be automatically redirected inside the members area.

Verifying your age with an ID document (Doc Scan) 

On the Yoti page, choose the "ID verification" option. 

Select the issuing country of your document and the type of document you will use, then take a photo of the front and, if asked, the back of your document. Make sure to follow the on-screen instructions provided by Yoti.

You will then be asked to take a selfie so Yoti can match your face to the photo on your document. Make sure your room is well lit and your face fills the frame.

Once the check is complete, you should be automatically redirected inside the members area.
